A Polish client and her minor daughter inherited assets from her late husband, a French citizen. The estate was located in three countries: Poland, France, and the United Kingdom. The third heir was the deceased’s son from a previous relationship, living in France.
Our Actions
We first identified the estate’s assets in each country. We then negotiated the division of assets with the deceased’s son. On behalf of the minor daughter, we submitted an application to the guardianship court for approval of the inheritance division. Finally, we assisted the heirs in completing inheritance formalities and settling taxes in each jurisdiction.
