Mariusz handles complex commercial disputes, primarily in the construction and intellectual property sectors. His experience includes handling several hundred court cases with a total value in dispute exceeding PLN 4 billion. He primarily advises on compensation claims, corporate disputes, and conflicts in the construction and new technologies sectors.
He combines his legal practice with academic work as an assistant professor in the Department of Civil, Commercial, and Insurance Law at Adam Mickiewicz University. Author of dozens of academic publications in the fields of, among others, civil law and intellectual property law, in Polish and foreign journals; co-author of a commentary on the Civil Code (ed. M. Gutowski, C.H. Beck) and a commentary on the Act on Copyright and Related Rights (ed. J. Kępiński, published by C.H. Beck). Winner of the 4th edition of the nationwide competition “Rising Stars Lawyers – Leaders of Tomorrow 2015,” and a recipient of numerous awards for his academic achievements.
As an arbitrator in arbitration courts and the author of numerous publications (including commentaries on the Civil Code), he provides clients with solutions based on deep substantive knowledge. He built his experience, among other things, as a long-standing Senior Partner at a leading law firm in Greater Poland.
He also advises other professionals, conducting training for attorneys, legal advisors, and members of corporate bodies. As Chairman of the Professional Development Committee at the National Bar Council and Head of Trainee Training, he ensures the highest standards of ethics and legal craftsmanship, which translates into the quality of care provided for his clients’ cases.
His academic interests focus on the issues of tort liability (primarily torts), unfair competition law, intellectual property law, and Internet law, with particular emphasis on the legal aspects of Internet domains. He is preparing a habilitation thesis in the field of tort liability.
